"One
of my favorite things is to open up the kiln to see what spectacular
things have occurred during the firing process. Each time I
feel like a kid on Christmas morning, so anxious to open it up to
see what marvelous gift is inside."

A
recent firing in the pit fire behind The Barn. Some burnished
pieces as well as some of my students works were wrapped in various
natural elements such as seaweed, copper wire and/or twine and
buried beneath seaweed, wood chips and sawdust. The fire
blazed then smoldered for approximately 14 hours before the
"unveiling".
